Maihan Association of Charlotte is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Charlotte, NC, serving immigrant and refugee families across Charlotte and other cities.

Our mission

The Maihan Association of Charlotte is organized exclusively for cultural, charitable and educational purposes. Its mission is to strengthen the local community by providing educational programs, cultural and literacy events, disaster relief assistance, and other charitable services. The organization raises funds through donations, community events, and lawful fundraising activities to support its programs and serve individuals and families in need, without providing private benefit to any individual.

Our focus is on Refugees and immigrant-origin families who have made Charlotte and the surrounding suburbs their home — from recent arrivals rebuilding after displacement, to long-established families sustaining and sharing their culture. We work to strengthen the ties that make our community whole.
